What Nicotine Strength is Right for Me

What Nicotine Strength is Right For Me?

If you’re looking to make the switch from smoking to vaping ensuring you choose the right level of nicotine in your vape is a large part of making a smooth transition. To make selecting the best Nicotine strength for you we have provided an easy-to-use chart that explains everything you need to know.

For MTL vapers, there are a wide range of strengths to pick from, so think about how many cigarettes you’re used to smoking, and start off on a strength similar to your experience.

  • 1-5 cigarettes a day: 0.5% (5mg/ml)
  • 5-15 cigarettes a day:  1.0% (10mg/ml)
  • 15-20 cigarettes a day: 1.5% (15mg/ml)
  • 20+ cigarettes a day: 2.0% (20 mg/ml)

If you want to vape DTL or sub-ohm, where you inhale directly from the device without holding the vapour in your mouth first like a cigarette, you’ll need a much lower nicotine strength liquid, typically between 0.3% to 0.6%, or 3mg/ml to 6mg/ml

  • 0 mg ml or 0% (Nicotine Free)
  • 3 mg ml or 0.3% (Low Strength)
  • 6 mg ml or 0.6% (Medium)

What do the numbers on the bottle mean ?

The numbers on a vape bottle relate to how many milligrams of nicotine there is per milliliter of e-liquid. To make understanding this easy then - the lower the number, the less nicotine there is. Sometimes it’s written in a percentage format too - for example a 3mg/ml is 0.3% nicotine. Higher nicotine levels will give you a stronger throat hit.
