How to Use

1. Battery Installation: Open the magnetic bottom door. Insert two fully charged 18650 batteries following the polarity markers (+ / -). Close the door firmly.

2. Filling the Tank: Unscrew the top cap (turn counter-clockwise). Locate the two kidney-shaped fill ports. Drip e-liquid directly into ports – avoid the central chimney. Replace top cap and turn clockwise to lock.

3. Coil Priming: Drip 4-5 drops of e-liquid into the cotton of a new coil. Install coil into tank base. Fill tank and wait 5 minutes for full saturation.

4. Power On: Click the fire button 5 times rapidly. Screen illuminates.

Yes, the capacitive touchscreen works with thin gloves. However, very thick winter gloves may require bare-finger input. The physical fire button remains always operational.

3. Can I charge the batteries via USB-C overnight?
We recommend using an external charger for battery longevity and safety. The USB-C port is designed for emergency charging and firmware updates only. Overnight charging may reduce battery cycle life.

4. What e-liquid ratio works best with the TFV9 tank?
70% VG / 30% PG or 80% VG / 20% PG sub-ohm liquids are ideal. High PG liquids (50/50) may leak slightly. Avoid 100% VG as it wicks too slowly for chain vaping.

5. How often should I change the coil?
Typically every 1-2 weeks, depending on usage and e-liquid sweetness. Sweet desserts and candy flavours will gunk coils faster. When flavour diminishes or you taste burnt cotton, replace the coil.

6. Is the Species Kit suitable for mouth-to-lung vaping?
Not ideally. The TFV9 tank is designed for direct-to-lung sub-ohm vaping. For MTL, you would need a separate MTL tank like the SMOK Nords or an adapter with a high-resistance coil.

7. What does the ‘Puff Curve’ feature do?
It allows you to set how much wattage is delivered at the beginning, middle, and end of your puff. For example, start high for instant ramp-up, then reduce to avoid overheating – perfect for customising your draw.
